All is Miracle
All is Miracle
Kyle Pederson (2025)
Voicing: SATB with two soprano soloists
Accompaniment: a capella or optional piano
Text: Charles Anthony Silvestri
Hear the sound of a newborn crying
See the joy of a family in gathering
Know the touch of a lover
Feel the aching heart of loneliness
Omnia mirabilia (All is miracle)
Hear the song of the sparrow echoing
See the earth after rain gently flowering
Taste the sweet, golden honey
Feel the soft snow fall silently
Omnia mirabilia (All is miracle)
Sing the earth, all her wonders shimmering
Sing the sun and the moon, light delivering
Sing the stars ever burning
As they dance through eternity
Omnia mirabilia (All is miracle)
Text by Charles Anthony Silvestri, commissioned for All is Miracle choral album
COMPOSER NOTE:
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle” (attributed to Albert Einstein). Although attribution to Einstein is debated, the perspective is powerful. It encourages us to look at the world through wonder-tinted lenses—seeing both the magnificent and seemingly mundane coursing with sacred energy. Omnia mirabilia…all is miracle.
